Fix Your Eyes
Above you, there are
clouds
so far above from
where you see
Below you, there’s land
so far beneath you
it could never be fully
uncovered
Beside you, there is
- everything
From the fly that flies
right past you
and misses your eyes
To the couple fighting
with each subtly
But then, I wonder
what your eyes sees
what your mind imagines
when you close your eyes
And darkness surrounds you
but, yet you still feel
everything
Then you open your eyes
and see maybe a bit more clearly
So, your actions become
more or less of you
Far away from our
memories
Like you’ve been born anew
Truly, it keeps me
thinking
When I find myself
staring far ahead
What do you fix your
eyes on?
